I just joined a painting group at one of our large botanical gardens on Oahu. The park is huge and features tropical trees and foliage from all over the world. It is a fabulous place, acres of wonderful trees, many flowering and many with edible fruits, blossoms or spices. Each Wed. morning different types of plants or flowers are set up for people to draw, paint or whatever they feel like. You can also wander the grounds and paint or draw. Its nice to have conversation with other artists too. These seeds and blossoms are from the Markhama Platycalyx tree from Africa. I used a very direct painting method on paper from the actual blossoms.
