"Falling Rivers" by A.B. Deneweth

One of my favorite teachers once introduced me to the amazing work of Gabriele Munter, a German expressionist painter whose colorful, bold work I've admired ever since. Munter is often overshadowed by Kandinsky, her much more famous artist husband, and whose work I also love.

But, I think Munter's work stands on its own merit, and you don't often find female expressionists, so I wanted to paint an abstracted landscape (purely from imagination) inspired by her expressive colors, shapes, and brushwork.
