I suppose I could have titled this painting "Strange Trees"! They are done by palette knives, as is most of the painting. The piece is very "edgy" (abstract) - I hope you like it!

I usually don't work on canves this small but after a few sketches this worked out best.Cubism gets quite tricky so trying to include too many details can be nerve wracking.This particular woman has haunted me ever since I first saw Metzinger's paintings.It's like she's dreading something? Maybe running out of Vodka?
It's ready to hang,needs no frame,painted on all sides.I used mostly oranges,and blue-greens.

I walked outside my front door in the eye of the storm and will never forget the devastation around me.What was even more bizzare was there was a clearing and you could see the moon.Shortly after,the winds switched and I had to go back in.The Power of Mother Nature never seems to amaze me.I painted this abstract painting on a beveled canvas and it's ready to hang.

This was a little demo piece I did for my Park Hill Art Club class. I was demonstrating rusted iron paint and also emobssed aluminum foil.
The photo doesn't show it, but the center part with the embossed
foil is very shiny and beautiful. The dark spots in the upper right are mica flakes that look alternately dark or shiny depending on how the light hits them.

This painting has a variety of textured collage materials. The part I'm most excited about is the rusty area shown above in the detail photo.
It is actual rust that was activated by painting copper sulfate solution on a paint containing iron filings. After a little while, the dark gray iron paint begins to rust - a very beautiful , if unpredictable, look.
