This site was created to share the works of both Representational and Non Representational Abstract Artists across the world who are committed to their craft, and therefore paint daily. Painting daily, however, does not always compute to a completed painting every day, therefore some of our artists
post new work a few times weekly.
We are currently accepting new artists. If you would like to join us, please contact Kimberly at kkconrad2@aol.com

Continuing the exploration of the water scenes I've been working on - this is today's daily painting. Living in the middle of the Pacific really can have a strong influence on artistic direction. I never tire of the ocean - hence another exploration of her bounty to go with the painting I posted yesterday.
This is an original "poured" painting on 24x24x1.5 gallery wrapped canvas. The paint flow continues around the sides for a beautiful finish....it is ready to hang. To purchase, contact Kimberly at kkconrad2aol.com Visit my Website:KimberlyConradFineArt.com
This is as dark as possible without any black. It's a variety of very very dark blues and grays. You probably can't see much variation on the computer screen, but there is some.

ALERT: You are about to view art of a different nature. These are paintings on glass -- that is, painted directly onto glass with specially formulated glass paints. They are always framed for the protection of the glass. The paints often are transparent and sometimes opaque, giving a stained glass appearance under good light. They, like all fine art, should not be hung in direct sunlight. The photographs do not do them justice -- my colors are very vibrant. Close ups are available, just e-mail me for information (see below). In most instances, click on the actual image for an even larger image to view -- you'll see lots of different items such as marbelization, transparent or opaque parts of the work -- try it and see! Commissions are accepted.
"Lingering Sunset" reminds me of hot summer days -- when you don't even expect the evening to end because of the time changes -- the days are lengthened and you see the sunsets longer, that is, is you really look at them! Sometimes we'll be sitting outside under the pergola, admiring the flower garden, enjoying the sweet summer breeze, the lovely glass of wine, and most of all the good company -- and then look up at the sky and be amazed at how wonderful everything can be! This painting reminds me of such an occasion.
"Lingering Sunset", framed painting on glass, 11"x14" measured edge to edge glass, $545 includes s&h in N. America if shipped from my studio; if in a gallery, at their discretion; Paypal accepted, click button below or write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information or close up view www.KarlaNolan.blogspot.com
Size: 11" x 15" Mixed media on Watercolor Paper This was the result of sprinkling charcoal on dry paper, running water over it and then spraying with a fixative. The result is often very interesting and a lot of fun to then paint on.

The Painting: This is just a small glimpse of what I am working on right now. It is a brilliant painting shot full of color and thick layers of acrylic.
This painting is 12x12 - acrylic on canvas. It is part of my ongoing "Love is for the Birds" series. It is inspired by the birds that nest outside my studio window in Spring.
