"And Other 4 Letter Words" Abstract Painting By Donna Holdsworth

This painting is acrylic and collage done on 11x14 heavy watercolor paper.  Although this was to be a "journal" page, it gave me grief from the start.  It was just one thing after another!  The flow & harmony that can accompany the creation of art was not to be found.  Even the photo would not cooperate.  It is a cloudy day & I can usually get a pretty accurate shot from my front porch.  Today I got glare no matter what I did!  So I gave my painting an appropriate name & am calling this one finished.  Phew!!  Time to move on I think! Web Gallery Auction here! Having a lot of fun here, painting these mixed media abstracts on panel.  I paint, and make things up from imagination and when I'm finished these paintings remind me of some thing, or somewhere.  This reminds me of the agricultural town of Thermal in the California desert , looking towards the glowing Mecca Hills with the agricultural hayfields in front of the hills.  

The wonderful thing about abstracts is one can be reminded of whatever, and wherever it is, that these paintings bring to mind !

The painting is in acrylic paints on archival panel; it can be framed in a standard sized (off the shelf) frame.  It's signed on the back, and when shipped is protected in foamcore, wrapped in a protective plastic sleeve.  Shipping is by FedEx Ground.  If you have questions please contact me here
